NEPAL

TRADITION AND MODERNITY - URBAN AND RELIGIOUS LIFESTYLE

Nepal's more than 35 different ethnic groups make it a unique experience in terms of religious diversity, musical influences, cultural experiences, as well as different languages and incomparable food.
Nepal is: breathtaking mountain panoramas, friendly people, unique UNESCO World Heritage Sites, diverse flora and fauna. Nepal is all this and much, much more.

Anyone who has visited Nepal knows about the great friendliness, cosmopolitanism and hospitality of the local people. The warm, peaceful atmosphere touches every visitor deeply when he experiences that the Nepalese want to share a lot, even if they only have a little. One develops a lot of humility and gratitude for everything that is taken for granted in the western world.
Nepal was shaken by a massive earthquake in 2015 and the Kathmandu region was hit by heavy monsoon rains in 2018; this destruction is still reverberating and affecting people's lives to this day.

Not to forget, the impact of Covid-19 and the imposed measures severely restricting and burdening the country and her people.

The desire to give something back grew. Since 2014, we have been doing this as a community.

Our main goal is to provide schooling, vocational training and meaningful leisure activities for orphans and children from very poor backgrounds.
From the beginning, the focus has been on two core issues:

Education and basic health care.

Regulated schooling and the promotion of personal interests serve to strengthen self-confidence and the shaping of a self-determined life. Equally important is health in order to be able to lead such a life.

OUR VALUES

Are values important?

We at Project Nepal e.V. think YES!
That is why our commitment is based, among other things, on 3 values that we have set for ourselves.
HONESTY - TRANSPARENCY - RESPECT
These values are ideal values, are of a moral nature and are important for social coexistence. People come and go in our lives, even the person we meet crosses our path for a reason, even if they only accompany us for a short time, every single encounter in our lives is worth a lot.

Values are the driving force in our lives.
Values are the background for our actions.
Values influence our motivation to a great extent.
Values close the gap between knowledge and action.
Values show us the way.

HONESTY

Honesty is the bridge between people. We guarantee to only support projects that really benefit the children and to use our help in a targeted way.

TRANSPARENCY

Transparency creates trust. This is what our voluntary work in cooperation with the people in Nepal and our sponsors builds on. Donations are used for specific projects and can be traced..

RESPECT

Respect - As a small association, we are close to the people, can react quickly, know the personal stories and respect the culture and attitudes to life of the Nepalis.

Our Projects

PROJECT NEPAL - OUR COMMITMENT IN KATHMANDU

We are currently concentrating our commitment on 4 projects, whereby the focus is on two core topics:

Education and basic health care

Breaking the vicious circle of poverty and opening paths to a new world and shaping the future through education.
We give orphans a chance.
A thirst for knowledge and curiosity are natural characteristics of Nepalis. Unfortunately, these cannot be constantly satisfied and encouraged, as there is sometimes a lack of the simplest school materials; school bags, notebooks and pens, money for school uniforms, blackboards and chalk, optimal teaching materials, functional and modern computers, as well as the budget for foreign language lessons are rarely available in sufficient quantities. With our joint commitment, we want to counteract this and, together with Chhahari Nepal, create a dignified and cheerful school and learning environment for the children.
